In this workshop, dancers will receive guidance and training to prepare them for the DanceMotion dance auditions. Led by one of our DanceMotion instructors Dani Miller, the workshop covers a wide range of essential skills and techniques to ensure you’re ready when it’s time to step into the audition room.
Here’s what you can expect to learn:
- **Audition Etiquette**: Understand the do’s and don’ts of audition behavior, from how to enter the room with confidence to how to engage with audition panelists.
- **Performance Techniques**: Fine-tune your stage presence, expression, and storytelling abilities to captivate your audience from the moment you start dancing.
- **Choreography Retention**: Develop strategies for quickly learning and retaining choreography, including tips for picking up combos and executing them with precision.
- **Technical Skills**: Refine your technique in various dance styles, focusing on elements such as flexibility, strength, balance, and control to showcase your versatility as a dancer.
- **Audition Combos**: Practice audition-specific choreography tailored to different genres, allowing you to build confidence and familiarity with common audition formats.
- **Confidence Building**: Boost your belief in your abilities, empowering you to approach auditions with a positive mindset and self-confidence.
