Blast from the Past!

May 30th– June 6th

Our 2020 Recital Blast from the Past! will take place May 30th– June 6th at Horizon High School located at 5601 E. Greenway Blvd.

Please pay special attention to the Recital Schedule Grid for dates and times of rehearsals and performances. Remember there will only be ONE MANDATORY Tech/Dress Rehearsal for each cast. ALL dance routines have a scheduled time block at the Tech/Dress, please find your dance routine number and scheduled time on the Recital Grid.

Also note Performance time on Saturday evening for Green Cast starts at 5pm.

Please see your dancers’ teacher for any questions you may have.

Ballet Rehearsals

Sunday April 19th, 2020

In studio ballet rehearsal for all ballet students in the recital ballet production will be held at the following times on Sunday, April 19th, 2020:

Yellow Cast: 1:00pm – 2:15pm 

Orange Cast: 2:30pm – 3:45pm

Green Cast: 4:00pm – 5:15pm

Costume Week

Monday, April 27th – Saturday, May 2nd

Costumes will be distributed during class time the week of Monday, April 27th – Saturday, May 2nd. Please plan to attend each of your dancer’s classes to get final costume information and PICTURE PACKETS.

This will be a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about costumes and recital!

Music/Voice Recital

June 1st at 6 PM at the Horizon

Our Spring Music Recital will be held on Monday, June 1st at 6:00pm at the Horizon High School Auditorium located at 5601 E. Greenway Blvd.  All of our music students are invited to present a musical piece of their choice.

Picture Days

May 16th & 17th, 2020

Your dancer’s recital pictures are scheduled for Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th here at the studio. Detailed information will be distributed in your dancer’s packet during their regular class times Recital Costume Week. Please let your dancer’s teacher know if you are unable to be here for your scheduled picture time.

RECITAL Week Schedule

This schedule has ALL dates and times of rehearsals and performances. There will only be one MANDATORY Tech/Dress Rehearsal for each cast


Tickets go on sale April 18th at 9 AM

We use an online ticket agency to process our ticket sales. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, April 18th at 9:00AM. Purchase and print your tickets at your own convenience.

  • Ticket Pricing; $16 or $13 per ticket, a $2.50 ticket agency fee per ticket will be added to all purchases. There is no limit to how many tickets you may purchase.
  • After purchasing your tickets simply print your tickets and bring them to recital for entry. We are not able to print your tickets at the recital box office!
  • Tickets will also be available at the box office to purchase on the days of our performances one hour before showtime.
  • PLEASE NOTE; You must have a ticket to enter the theater and for re-entry you must have your hand stamped.

Please remember there are no refunds or exchanges.

Worker “b” Program

Sign-ups Begin March 23rd at 4 PM

You will be able to sign up for our Worker “b” Program for the Bender Performing Arts Annual Recital using SignUpGenius beginning March 23rd at 4:00pm

The program offers all recital dance families an opportunity to be part of our recital team. A wide variety of positions will be available to choose from: selling programs, flowers, concessions, auditorium helpers, trophy and picture distribution, picture day helpers, dressing group helpers, cleanup crew, stage set & break down, recital runners, and ticket scanners. You may sign up for as many shifts as you would like to work.

Since we value your hard work and time commitment, we will issue a Bender Performing Arts Gift Card for the shifts you work. When you arrive for your shift you will need to report to your chairperson and sign in. After your shift has concluded you must sign out with your chairperson at which time you will receive your gift card. The gift cards can only be redeemed at the studio and used in a variety of ways, (i.e. tuition, registration fee, costumes). The Bender Performing Arts gift cards cannot be redeemed to purchase recital tickets or for cash. Bender Performing Arts is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.
