“b” Adventurous!

June 3rd– June 10th

Our 2023 “b” Adventurous! will take place June 3rd– June 10th at Shadow Mountain High School, 2902 E Shea Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85028.

Please pay special attention to the Recital Schedule Grid for dates and times of rehearsals and performances. Remember there will only be ONE MANDATORY Tech/Dress Rehearsal for each cast. ALL dance routines have a scheduled time block at the Tech/Dress Rehearsal, please find your dance routine number and scheduled time on the Recital Grid.

Please see your dancers teacher for any questions you may have.

Ballet Rehearsals

Sunday April 23rd, 2023

In studio ballet rehearsal for all ballet students, Ballet A and up, in the recital ballet production will be held at the following times on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023:

Yellow Cast: 1:00pm – 2:15pm 

Orange Cast: 2:30pm – 3:45pm

Green Cast: 4:00pm – 5:15pm

Costume Week

Monday, May 1st – Saturday, May 6th, 2023

Costumes will be distributed during class time the week of Monday, May 1st – Saturday, May 6th. Please plan to attend each of your dancer’s classes to get final costume information and RECITAL INFO.

This will be a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about costumes and recital! 


We have put videos together to help you with any questions you may have on hair or make-up for your dancer at the recital.

Music/Voice Recital

June 4th at 5:30 PM at Horizon High School 

Our Spring Music Recital will be held on Sunday, June 4th at 5:30pm at the Shadow Mountain High School Auditorium, 2902 E Shea Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85028. All of our music students are invited to present a musical piece of their choice.

Picture Day

Photo ExperiEnce

May 20th & 21st, 2023

Come join us for a personal photo experience where your dancer(s) will come to the studio with their recital costume(s) and have their professional individual dance photo take with Liz Walters Photography.  This is optional for families to participate in. Sign ups begin on April 10th at 9am.

RECITAL Week Schedule

This schedule has ALL dates and times of rehearsals and performances. There will only be one MANDATORY Tech/Dress Rehearsal for each cast


Tickets go on sale April 22nd at 9 AM

We use an online ticket agency to process our ticket sales. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, April 22nd at 9:00AM. Purchase and print your tickets at your own convenience.

  • Ticket Pricing; $19, $17 or $15 per ticket, a ticket agency fee per ticket will be added to all purchases. There is no limit to how many tickets you may purchase.
  • After purchasing your tickets simply print your tickets and bring them to recital for entry or add to your mobile device. We are not able to print your tickets at the recital box office!
  • Tickets WILL NOT be available at the box office ALL tickets MUST BE purchased ONLINE.
  • PLEASE NOTE: You must have a ticket to enter the theater and for re-entry you must have your hand stamped.

Please remember there are no refunds or exchanges.

Worker “b” Program

Sign-ups Begin April 10th at 9 AM

You will be able to sign up for our Worker “b” Program for the Bender Performing Arts Annual Recital using SignUpGenius beginning April 10th at 9:00am

The program offers all recital dance families an opportunity to be part of our recital team. A wide variety of positions will be available to choose from: selling flowers, auditorium helpers, medal and picture distribution, dressing group helpers, cleanup crew, stage set up & break down, and ticket scanners. You may sign up for as many shifts as you would like to work.

Since we value your hard work and time commitment, we will issue a Bender Performing Arts Gift Card for the shifts you work. When you arrive for your shift you will need to report to your chairperson and sign in. After your shift has concluded you must sign out with your chairperson at which time you will receive your gift card. The gift cards can only be redeemed at the studio and used in a variety of ways, (i.e. tuition, registration fee, costumes). The Bender Performing Arts gift cards cannot be redeemed to purchase recital tickets or for cash. Bender Performing Arts is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.
